Services
Our professional pilot services include various types of training, expedition experiences, backcountry survival skills, and aircraft operation services.
Tailwheel training and endorsement
Stepping up your game to learn to fly tailwheel aircraft is one of the most satisfying accomplishments you will ever experience. The training you will receive will develop an entirely new level of pilot expertise and aircraft control. With these new skills you will be prepared to launch into your own adventure of exploring the endless backcountry destinations that await those who are prepared to seize the opportunity. Obtaining a tailwheel endorsement is a performance-based acquisition. There are no minimum hours of training required. You need to learn the skills and perform them in a safe and controlled manner proving you are capable of safe flight in a conventional landing gear aircraft. Oh, by the way this is the more fun than you can imagine.
Backcountry Expeditions
Exploring the backcountry of central and southern Utah can fill up a lifetime. Accessing some of this amazing country is best done by air and going with someone that knows the area. Whether you want to fly into these areas in your own plane and get some training on how to do it safely or sign up for a guided expedition and some solid backcountry skills training, I can make this happen.
Pilot oriented survival skills
Pilot oriented survival skills are just that, skills that you would need to have should you find yourself stranded in a remote location due to a forced landing. Survival in an aviation setting is usually not a prolonged event if you have made and followed a flight plan. If you deviate from that plan due to weather, navigational error, or my favorite, “this other route looks more fun” the event will last a bit longer and knowing how to deal with it, short term or long term requires some specific skills. This is exactly what we teach.
Commercial pilot services
If you need a professional pilot to fly your plane for you to relocate it to where you need it or you have other reasons why you can’t or don’t want to fly it lets talk about it and find a solution for you.

Pilot Training
Private Pilot License (PPL) requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight experience. At least of 20 of those hours must be with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). The national average by people seeking their PPL is around 60 hours.
The best way to achieve your PPL closer to the minimum hours required is through dedicated consistent study and flight training.
Flight training every so often and studying now and then, will cause training to take longer than you want and cost more than you expected. This rule of thumb is quite accurate, assuming the study for the written knowledge test follows a similar level of dedication and consistency.
Fly once a week = 12-16 months
Fly twice a week = 8-9 months
Fly three times per week = 4-6 months
Fly six times week = 2-3 months
